Carmen K. Adams
Associate Attorney
Carmen is committed to seeking justice for people who have been treated unfairly by their employers or landlords. She previously worked with the Unemployment Law Project, the Seattle University Workers’ Rights Clinic, and the National Labor Relations Board. Her current practice focuses on employment civil rights prosecution, fair housing enforcement, and complex class action litigation.
Carmen was previously appointed counsel for indigent tenants facing eviction across 6 different counties in Washington. She has successfully represented tenants seeking disability accommodations from their landlords and workers appealing denial of their unemployment benefits. Carmen has litigated cases at superior courts throughout Washington and at Division III of the Washington Court of Appeals to ensure that her clients’ rights were protected.
Carmen is fluent in Spanish, and received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. She is licensed to practice in the state courts for the state of Washington. Carmen is originally from Poulsbo, Washington, and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
